The National Semiconductor 74LS74ASC is a dual-D positive edge-triggered trigger of the 74LS series with set and reset functions. This chip is favored for its high-speed

operation and low power consumption, and is widely used in various digital circuit designs. The 74LS74ASC comes in a 14-pin SOIC package with an operating voltage

range of 4.75V to 5.25V and a clock rate of up to 20MHz. Each of its triggers is a 1-bit D-trigger with complementary outputs and support for rising edge triggers. The

chip has a maximum propagation delay of 35ns (at 5V supply and 50pF load), a static current of 8mA, and has a 400uA feed current and 8mA pull current capability.

Operating temperature range is 0 ° C to +70 ° C, suitable for industrial applications.

74LS74ASC Features:

- Dual Type D trigger design, providing two independent data storage units.

- Positive edge trigger mechanism ensures that data is accurately captured at the rising edge of the clock signal.

- Set and Reset functions allow control of the trigger state.

- Complementary output, providing direct positive and negative logic status indication.

- Low power operation, suitable for battery powered or power sensitive applications.

- Fast propagation delay, suitable for high-speed digital circuits.

74LS74ASC Application:

74LS74ASC has a wide range of applications in digital circuit design, including but not limited to:

1. Clock divider: Used to generate a slow clock signal.

2. Pulse shaping: clean up irregular pulse signals to ensure the integrity of signals.

3. Counter: Build a synchronous counter circuit for counting or timing.

4. Register: stores and transfers digital data.

5. State control: Control state changes in complex logic circuits.
